The Facts:

MS is a chronic and unpredictable disease that affects the central nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. It stops the flow of information between the brain and other parts of the body.

It affects every aspect of a person's life including mobility, finances, and family.

MS affects both adults and children, but females are 2.5 times more likely to be affected than males.

Hello,

We are Charley & Phillip and we rode our bicycles 2,862 miles from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL to raise $100,000 to fight Multiple Sclerosis.  Please help us reach this goal!

Over a decade ago we started riding in Bike MS Events to raise money for the fight against MS. This year we completed the biggest ride of our lives on September 22nd to raise awareness and money for Multiple Sclerosis.

Help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 for MS by clicking here!

Why are we riding?

Having multiple sclerosis means that you may suddenly have blurry vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. Or that you may not always be able to walk, let alone ride a bike. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

We've taken on this challenge because we want to do something for the people who have been diagnosed - and because we want to do everything to prevent more people from learning what it means to live with this disease. Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

Watch this video below to learn more about MS and how many people this disease affects.

As you will see, we had our work cut out for us! We had a wonderful journey across the United States, and we actually finished the journey in 40 days by riding 2862 miles and probably had more than 160 candy bars and snacks. One thing for sure is that we had a very blessed experience making memories that will last a lifetime.
